Shaun Tan

Shaun is currently the Head of Training & Special Projects at Huttons in-charge of spearheading companywide training and championing various new initiatives at Huttons.

In addition to structuring core curriculum programs for the 5,500-strong associate force at Huttons through various real estate market knowledge talks, Shaun is also involved in delivering training. He focuses on upskilling associates on professional topics such as deciphering trends, asset progression, financial concepts, financial calculations, and his interest in technology. Through these efforts, Shaun plays a crucial role in enhancing the professional capabilities and knowledge base of his associates, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the real estate market.

Prior to joining Huttons, Shaun was previously from Singapore’s largest privately held developer Far East Organization where he held various roles over a decade in operations, marketing, research, business development and product development.

Shaun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications from the University of Queensland, Australia, and an MBA from the University of Wales, UK. His passion lies in real estate, where he enjoys learning through the built environment. This academic background, combined with his enthusiasm for real estate, underscores his dedication to understanding and enhancing the knowledge core for his associates. By leveraging his education and passion, Shaun aims to contribute significantly to the real estate sector, fostering a deeper comprehension and appreciation of the built environment among his peers.

Shaun is actively engaged in community service outside of his professional life. For the past four years, he has been a Grassroots Leader, demonstrating a strong commitment to civic duty and community involvement. He currently holds the position of Vice-Chairman for the Thomson Hills Neighbourhood Committee at Kebun Bahru, where he plays a significant role in fostering community spirit and addressing local issues. Through these efforts, Shaun contributes to the betterment of society and the well-being of his neighbours.
